What would you be if you weren't a brand manager?

Professional racing driver ... Ferrari hasn't called yet.

What advice would you give someone starting their marketing career?

Always focus on the consumer and gain experience wherever you can. Try to understand why you love the brands you do.

What attracted you to your job?

The opportunity to work for a market-leading British brand, that puts passion and innovation at the heart of its business.

How did you get your first job?

I bribed the greengrocer's daughter with sweets at school (I was 13, before you ask.)

What was your finest hour?

Completing a marathon.

What's your greatest ambition?

To win the US Masters.

If you were a brand, what would you be and why?

Rolls-Royce. Beautiful, timeless and wealthy.

What is your favourite ever marketing campaign?

Nike's 'Just do it' with Michael Jordan.

Matt Springate at The Brooklyn Brothers.

What marketing trend is dominating your job at the moment?

Data, and our digital ad campaign that launched this month.

What hobbies do you have?

Anything outdoors.

What makes you angry?

False promises.

What is your favourite pub?

Lord Clyde, Essex Road, Islington. Best Sunday roast in town.

What's your favourite holiday destination?

Anywhere with a swim-up bar.

If you could get tickets to any event, what would it be?

The 100m final at the Olympics.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

To drive an F1 car, be guaranteed a seat on the train every day, and for England to win Euro 2012.
