The brief includes managing the creative design and delivery of emails to Borders' existing database of over 750,000 customers. The agency will also report on the campaign results.
Tangent has been working with Borders since October last year designing local websites, web management systems and redesigning its main website. The redesign is expected to go live in a few weeks and will allow Border's customers to purchase books from the retailer directly for the first time.
Tangent's chief executive, Greg Jackson said: “We have gained a very thorough understanding of the Borders brand through our existing relationship and will be translating that understanding into an effective email campaign.”
