Boots appoints e-Dialog to improve email marketing

LONDON - Boots is to boost its email marketing efforts with the appointment of e-Dialog to handle its email service.

E-Dialog is to help improve the relevance of Boots' email campaigns, which the company hopes will drive business to the . The campaigns also support other marketing initiatives including the Advantage Card loyalty programme and the Parenting and Health Clubs.

The appointment was made after a two-month pilot programme, in which e-Dialog improved the open and click-through rates for Boots e-newsletters. It used tactics such as segmentation, dynamic content publishing and data management to achieve this.

Brian Linnington, managing director of Boots.com, said: "After a successful pilot programme, we are delighted to work with e-Dialog on Boots' email communications.

"With e-Dialog's advanced reporting and measurement tools, we are fully tracking campaign performance and have a better understanding of our customers. Furthermore, we now have the flexibility and production efficiency we need to focus more marketing and technical resources on other opportunities."
