Organised by Top Banana, the event involved guests being blindfolded while a storyteller, dressed in a cloak and mask, told a story about different destinations, with sounds and smells used to convey each new location.
When the 100 guests took their blindfolds off they found that the room had been transformed into a jungle and a ‘multi-sensory’ meal was provided by caterer Last Supper.
The first course was served on oversized leaves for the jungle theme, and the final course represented Venice, with a dessert that was ‘masquerading’ as a breakfast - complete with runny egg yolk.
Just before dessert was served the storyteller was revealed as Bombay Sapphire global marketing director John Burke.
The concept behind the event was to portray Bombay Sapphire’s new global brand positioning as using the power of imagination and conveying how each individual experience’s is different.
