Former Telegraph Media Group and Channel 4 commercial executive Simon Voysey joins Blinkx as sales manager. He will be joined by Alexis James in another sales manager role.

James worked previously as UKTV’s commercial development manager, where he managed the external sales team. Before that, he worked at ITV as part of the launch sales team working on ITV.com.

In its overseas operations, Blinkx has hired Franc Gomez, who previously worked on brands such as the History Channel and National Geographic, as director of advertising sales.

Federico Grosso, senior vice-president of business development at Blinkx, said the appointments would allow the company to take advantage of the growing video advertising market.
