The online retailer launches in the UK this month with a range of aggressive offers it claims will undercut the competition by up to 50%, with the aim of challenging the dominance of the British market’s biggest e-commerce brands.
Cdiscount UK’s online marketing manager, Arfan Sabir, said Bigmouthmedia was selected for the campaign ahead of 10 rival agencies, including Lattitude, High Position, Search Works, Netbooster, Amber Green and Media Vision.
Sabir said: "Bigmouthmedia’s international reputation, together with their proven track record in the retail space, made it the natural choice of partner for the crucial opening phase of our launch in the UK."
Cdiscount has a turnover of £900m, three times higher than Amazon.fr in its native France, according to Sabir.
The company aims to offer 90,000 products to UK consumers by the end of 2009, with a range including fashion, furniture, home entertainment, electronics, gaming and computing.
Founded in 1997, Bigmouthmedia has worked with more than300 brands, including Adidas, Hilton, British Airways, Tesco, BP, Barclays and Castrol.
