Lawler is reported to be getting a six-figure deal to front the show with former '11 O'Clock Show' host Iain Lee, who joined the show earlier this year. On joining 'RI:SE', Lawler will continue to present her show on Capital Radio.
Lee and Lawler will present the first part of the show, while the last half hour will continue to be presented by comedy duo Mel and Sue.
Bowman is the last of the original presenters that launched the show in April last year. The rest, including Sky's Kirsty Gallacher and Mark Durden-Smith, left when the show relaunched at the beginning of the year as part of an attempt to boost its ratings.
'RI:SE' replaced 'The Big Breakfast', but has failed to achieve the 300,000 viewers its predecessor drew in its dying days. 'RI:SE' initially managed to draw 200,000 viewers, although earlier this year it scored a zero rating when its audience dipped below the 100,000 mark.
Last week, speculation suggested that Channel 4 is planning to gradually phase out the programme and permanently replace it with a morning news show. 'RI:SE' has been broadcasting from 8am to 9.30am, instead of from 6.55am, to make way for coverage of the war in Iraq.
Channel 4 and 'RI:SE' denied the suggestions. Channel 4 is thought to be at a loss about what to do with the early morning slot. Serious news is provided by the BBC, ITV provides the coffee-table magazine show and Five shows cartoons.
The broadcaster is understood to have approached production companies about coming up with a replacement. 'RI:SE' is produced jointly by Sky and Princess Productions.
