It was reported last month that 'RI:SE' was on the way to zero ratings, but it is thought that next month's Barb audience figures will confirm this after it registered zero last week on at least two occasions.
The zero ratings score follows rumours that Channel 4 has asked several independent production companies to pitch it new ideas to replace the ailing 'RI:SE'.
Channel 4 had been hoping the situation would improve somewhat after it emerged in January that it was heading for a zero TV ratings score. The show's pitifully small audience sees it beaten regularly in the TV ratings by Five's 'Noddy' and 'Bear in The Big Blue House', which with 400,000 viewers is four times more popular than the presenting talents of Edith Bowman and comedian Iain Lee.
'BBC Breakfast News' and 'GMTV' over on ITV both pull in around 1m regular viewers.
The zero ratings score comes only a month after 'RI:SE' returned to screens on January 20 after a break over Christmas and a revamp of the show, which saw all but one of the original presenting team axed.
For Channel 4, the failure of the revamp must be perplexing as it left 'RI:SE' looking even more like the 'The Big Breakfast' it replaced. However, even in its dying days 'The Big Breakfast' was attracting 300,000 viewers, a long way from its heyday of 1m viewers when it was the most-talked-about programme on morning TV.
