ITV1's new comedy drama 'Jane Hall' shown at 9pm had earlier made a respectable debut drawing in 4.1m viewers and taking a 20% share of audience.
On BBC One the reality formats continued with 'Only Fools on Horses', which despite criticism continues to do well attracting 3.8m viewers, or an 18.7% share of total audience during the same slot.
According to the British Show Jumping Association, the show has sparked major interest in the sport again, making the BBC rue the day it decided to dump the Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead. The two major events in the sport's calendar can now be seen on Sky.

On BBC Two from 9pm urban thriller 'Soundproof' attracted a 1.6m audience with an 8% share of audience, while on Five, starting at the same time, but continuing until 11pm, the Sylvester Stallone film 'Judge Dredd' took a 1.5% audience, or a 7.7% share of total viewing.
