The transactional website arrives six months after the opening of the US electronics retailer's first UK store in Thurrock.

Best Buy has teamed up with Reevoo, the independent publisher of genuine customer reviews, which will present product reviews written by real people who have purchased the featured product that a customer may be considering.

It offers video buying guides, which seek to copy the in-store service provided by Best Buy's 'Blueshirts by posting a series of questions to provide a personalised recommendation on the type of product that will be right for them and their lifestyle.

Customers can also post their own video product reviews through Best Buy’s TechXpert platform, which invites members of the public to submit reviews to earn the chance to become a product tester for Best Buy.

In addition to free delivery the company will offer a Reserve & Collect facility where customers can reserve items from their nearest Best Buy store and within an hour receive notification of when their purchases are available for collection.

Best Buy has stores in Thurrock (Essex), Hedge End (Southampton), Merry Hill (West Midlands), Aintree (Liverpool), Croydon and Derby.  Best Buy will open stores in Bristol, Nottingham, Enfield, Rotherham and Hayes in 2011.
