The move forms part of the US retailer's ambitious growth plans in the UK, after it launched its first store here in April.
The microsite allows consumers to create their own profiles and contribute video reviews of technology goods, as well as receive peer-level recommendations on products that are of interest to them.
The US consumer electronics retailer hopes to create an online community through the initiative, where users can rate one another's video reviews.
After eight weeks, reviewers will be rated by the community, and the consumer electronics retailer will select entrants from that group to become a regular part of Best Buy's TechXpert panel.
Members in the group will be sent trial products from Best Buy to review regularly, throughout the year and at various points during a product's life cycle.
Users who contribute and upload video reviews will also have the chance to win one TV and home theatre system valued at up to £1,000, as well as runners-up prizes including games consoles and digital SLR cameras.
TechXpert will be promoted with Google Adwords, alongside ads and updates on its Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as activity on its website.
Best Buy added that TechXpert would build on its social media presence, having already built its UK website around interaction with users through activity such as forums and blogs.
Kevin Styles, marketing director at Best Buy UK, said: "For Best Buy, making innovative use of the social web means letting our web users and customers have their say, and giving them a platform to share knowledge of technology with others. It also makes sound business sense, as we'll be able to better help our customers to find the technology that's right for them."
Earlier this week, Best Buy signed of The O2, as part of its brand-building efforts in the UK.
The five-year deal starts this month and accords Best Buy benefits across The O2 site, including the arena and indigO2, the O2's 2,300- capacity music venue. It will also own the naming rights to the 750- capacity VIP Lounge.
Best Buy's first UK store opened on 30 April in Thurrock, Essex, with a store at Hedge End near Southampton opening the following month.
A store will open at Merry Hill in the West Midlands on 25 June, with further chains at Aintree, Croydon and Bristol following at later dates.
