The stunt is part of Beck's Music Inspired Art campaign and the three pubs were chosen for their connections to live music and their propensity to attract crowds of young hipsters.
The Lock Tavern's new look is inspired by the Prince track 'Diamonds and Pearls'. It is just up the street from where Prince once had a New Power Generation shop on Chalk Farm Road in Camden and has been painted by Chrissie Abbot.
The Amersham Arms in New Cross has been decorated by Jamie Brown with a painting of a graphic equalizer to reflect the techno style of Kraftwerk.
Shoreditch's The Old Blue Last, owned by the publishers of Vice magazine, has been given a makeover by Anna Lomax and Lauren Davies with feline visual cues taken from The Cure's 'The Lovecats'.
The pubs will keep their new looks until late September.
Ken Valledy, UK brand director for Beck's, said: "Beck's has been involved with music and art for more than 20 years, and we are proud to extend our collaboration to these three pubs, which are some of the most iconic in London.
"We have given them a fantastic new look for a limited period. And you certainly can't miss all the bold designs created by these up and coming artists."
At the same time as repainting the pubs, Beck's has launched four new label designs created by Ladyhawke and Hard-Fi.
Earlier campaigns have seen artists like Gilbert & George and Tracey Emin create new versions of the Beck's label.
