The deal, which was completed by BBC Worldwide's Indie Unit, will mean that viewers will be able to watch a host of Talkback Thames' classic comedy output, including the Steve Coogan-fronted 'Alan Partridge', 'Chris Morris' 'The Day Today', 'Big Train' and 'Monkey Dust'.
Meanwhile, Michael Palin's own production company Prominent will screen a number of its hit Palin-fronted travel programmes, including 'Sahara', 'Full Circle' and 'Pole to Pole' to international territories.
The global distribution deals follow similar ones completed by BBC Worldwide with Coogan's own production company Baby Cow, for 'The Mighty Boosh', and with Kudos, espionage drama 'Spooks' and 'Hustle'.
Jemma Adkins, head of content for digital media at BBC Worldwide, said: "These production companies represent some of the best known programme brands around, including fantastic content that resonates with the digital audience."
