Former Liverpool star (and universally respected dancer) Peter Crouch pranks his wife Abbey Clancy to promote the third series of his podcast on BBC Sounds.
The film shows Crouchy as he gets a temporary tattoo of the podcast’s logo – of him, doing his robot celebration – printed on to his arm, before calling his wife on FaceTime. After an agonising conversation about the striker’s new ink, Clancy tells her husband: "If that is on your arm, don't come home."
It has been shared via a number of BBC-based Facebook pages, alongside TV, radio and out-of-home activity.
The work was created by Abigail Stephenson and Matt Jones, and directed by Mark Robertson through BBC Creative.
Last year, Crouch starred in an ad to promote Carphone Warehouse that deemed the striker a "serial switcher", having played for multiple clubs in his professional career.
