The BBC's current roster of agencies comprises Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, DFGW and Fallon, which were appointed in the last review in 2000.
The corporation has asked interested agencies to apply online via by June 12. The selection process is expected to be finished by the end of the year and contracts will start from January 1 2007. It is being jointly managed by Eliza Burrows, head of marketing and planning, and the corporation's procurement department.
Agencies will have overall responsibility for campaign delivery, but TV and radio executions will be exclusively produced by the BBC's preferred supplier Red Bee Media, which was formerly BBC Broadcast and the BBC's in-house production unit until its sell-off last year.
The work will centre on the BBC's TV channels, radio stations and other new media services, and cover mainly TV, radio and online, with occasional use of posters and press.
