BBC Online names new digital roster

LONDON - BBC Online is understood to have appointed Agency Republic, Modem Media and a Dare/i-level partnership to handle digital marketing for all of its online products.

The roster decision comes after a pitch that kicked off in November and saw submissions from 70 agencies cut down to 25, with eight making final presentations.

Agency Republic is the incumbent digital agency on World Service online, but the BBC has not previously used online advertising for its other websites. It is understood that the roster arrangement will last for two years.

A spokeswoman for the BBC said the broadcaster had made a decision on its roster, but declined to name the three parties involved.
