BBC One wins primetime war with Richard Hammond's Invisible Worlds

LONDON - BBC One won the ratings war during the crucial 9pm to 10pm slot last night as 'Richard Hammond's Invisible Worlds' drew four million viewers.

The final instalment of the three part nature series presented by 'Top Gear' presenter Hammond gave BBC One a 16.4% share of the TV watching audience.

Channel 4's documentary about life in a maternity ward, 'One Born Every Minute', had an average of 3.1 viewers in the 9pm and 10pm slot.

The show's audience, which includes the contribution from Channel 4 +1, accounted for 12.8% share of the available audience.

An average of 2.4 million viewers tuned in to ITV1 to watch 'Law & Order: UK' between 9pm and 10pm, an audience share of 9.7%.

Last night's episode of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation', which was shown on Five between 9pm and 10pm, was seen by an average of 2.2 million people, a share of 8.9%.

BBC Two's second and final episode of the thriller 'Blood and Oil' was watched by an average of two million viewers between 9pm and 10pm, an 8.7% share of the available audience.
