BBC Mundo and Clarin.com search for Argentina's best young journalist

BUENOS AIRES - BBC Mundo, BBC World Service's Spanish-language website, has teamed up with Argentine online newspaper Clarin.com to launch a competition to find Argentina's best young internet journalist of 2002.

The competition has been promoted using an online, print, TV and radio campaign, involving screensavers and images of electronic work, and ran with the line "Were you born to be a journalist?"

The drive was overseen by BBC World Service Marketing, the creative visuals were created by Curio Creative Consultants and the screensaver was developed by Sugar.

The campaign targets journalists aged between 18 and 29 years old, inviting them to prepare a multimedia feature under the heading "Tell the world about your Argentina".

The winning entry will be published on BBCMundo.com and Clarin.com. The winner will spend one month in London, working alongside BBCMundo.com journalists.

BBC Mundo is a 24-hour lifestyle site, providing content such as news, current affairs, economy, arts and entertainment. Its online partnership with Clarin was established five years ago when Clarin became the first Latin American website to carry BBC audio in Spanish live on the internet.
