BBC Magazines names Osman as Focus editor

Sally Palmer, who has led Focus as acting editor since November 2007 following the departure of long-standing editor Paul Parsons, will now work on new projects development.

Osman joined Focus in December 2004 as assistant editor. Last year, she was nominated for PTC New Consumer Specialist Journalist of the Year.

Andrew Davies, publisher of Focus, said that Osman played a key role in ensuring the title's growth, noting that the title is set to post a strong ABC figure next month.

The title reported a 5.5% year-on-year increase in ABC circulation to 61,475 copies for the six months to the end of June 2007.
