BBC Focus launches podcast

BBC Focus is to launch a four weekly podcast to accompany the magazine over a six-month trial period.

The science title, published by BBC Worldwide specialist publisher Origin Publishing, will launch the podcast on 19 January to coincide with the sale of the February issue of the magazine.

They will be hosted by the editor of BBC Focus Paul Parsons and include news, interviews, and discussions of issues in the corresponding issue.

The podcasts will be available to download from the focus website: and will also be available to subscribe through itunes.

Andy Benham, publisher of BBC Focus, said: "The Focus podcast will be a valuable accompaniment to the magazine issues, providing our readers with additional material, and our non-readers with an insight into what Focus is all about – bringing the latest in popular science and technology to anyone with an interest in the subject matter, regardless of whether they have any specialist knowledge."
