Bang & Olufsen to base mailings on council tax data

LONDON - Upmarket audio-visual brand Bang & Olufsen aims to boost communications through its dealerships with a system that targets prospective customers according to their address.

Its direct marketing agency Snowball has built a database of affluent homeowners with data from council tax records, which are cross-matched against its own customer information.

Bang & Olufsen, which uses direct mail for most of its marketing, hired Snowball last June. It was the agency's first business win, with the three founding directors poaching former employer FFwd's client.
