Bacardi digital marketer leaves for TBWA Paris

LONDON - Bacardi Global Brands' head of digital Gregoire Assemat-Tessandier has left the business to head the digital offering of ad agency TBWA in Paris.

Assemat-Tessandier will be replaced by Gary Neal, former head of online at Talk Talk.

Last month Assemat-Tessandier was instrumental in launching Bacardi's iPhone application to target consumers on the move with cocktail recipe services. The Bacardi app, Mix Master, allows consumers to search for a cocktail by name, style or ingredients.

In February the global spirits brand hired Mediaedge:cia to handle its global communications planning account without a pitch.

MEC will work on global comms strategy for Bacardi rum, but will then work across other brands such as Grey Goose and Martini.

The brand has previously used a variety of agencies, including its roster ad and media agencies, to inform its global communications planning strategy.
