Bacardi adds global brand director role

LONDON - Bacardi's marketing manager, Christian Woolfenden, has been promoted to the role of global brand director.

His responsibilities in the position, created following a wider restructure, will include overseeing international consumer and trade marketing and innovation for the rum brand.

Woolfenden joined Bacardi three years ago from Procter & Gamble. During his time at P&G he worked across its laundry portfolio and oversaw the Ariel ‘Turn to 30' campaign.

Last month Bacardi announced a tie-up with The Black Eyed Peas world tour. The brand plans to run activity around the group's concerts in the UK in May.
