Babelgum launches to international users

LONDON - Global internet TV network Babelgum has begun the phased opening of its service to international users.

Thousands of beta testers who pre-registered with Babelgum, as well as new members, can now access the service.

A capped number of free downloads is available daily from the Babelgum website

on a first come first served basis. Users can also invite as many friends

and colleagues as they like to join them on Babelgum, with plans to steadily increase the number of users over the next few weeks

Babelgum is the commercial brand for the global internet TV network developed

by Babel Networks, a privately held company founded in 2005.

It uses peer-to-peer technology to provide users with on demand and personalized TV channels, drawing on a theoretically unlimited library of niche and mainstream content.

Access is free to the user and will be funded by advertising in the future.
