She replaces Olivier Mariée, who is to take up the global role of group marketing and distribution director at AXA's headquarters in Paris.
Toner, who begins her role on 1 November, was previously UK strategic marketing director, with responsibility for marketing strategy and planning, customer insight and segmentation.

‘Cheryl has been instrumental in developing the tools we use to measure our marketing effectiveness and ensuring that we build a customer-centric organisation.'
