It is the latest in a series of humorous ads featuring comedian Paul Whitehouse, who has previously appeared as a Welsh goth and a Plymouth Argyle football supporter.

In this ad, created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Whitehouse plays the owner of a hairdressing salon. The campaign breaks on 4 October during the Arsenal-Blackburn Rovers Premier League match on Sky Sports 1.

‘The ad has been designed to encourage more businesses to appreciate the expertise and knowledge that the broker can bring,' said Brian Spinks, head of sales and marketing at Aviva.

‘Creating an ad that specifically supports the broker channel helps demonstrate our commitment and we hope brokers will be pleased with the result.'
