Auto Trader tops list of automotive websites

LONDON - Auto Trader UK has topped the list of automotive websites, trampling the competition by scoring almost four times the number of visits compared with its next closest rival the Automobile Association.

For the week ending March 8, Auto Trader UK attracted 19.25% of all visits to UK automotive websites, compared with , which attracted 4.83%, according to Hitwise's top 10 UK automotive sites.

The two were followed by secondhand car price guide with 2.48% and ITV's Formula 1 website with 1.96% of all visits.

The came in at five with 1.81%, followed by classified ads magazine with 1.57%.

was seventh with 1.42% and online classified site was eighth with 1.35%.

In ninth place is Direct Line's car retail site with 1.30% of visits and in 10th place is with 1.12%.
