Aura and Zed ink deal for Toyota to sponsor England cricket's website

LONDON - Digital sports agency Aura Sports and Zed Media, the digital arm of Zenith Optimedia, have negotiated a deal for Toyota Avensis to appear as headline sponsor of the England Cricket Board's website.

The deal will see a Toyota Avensis creative appear at the top of every webpage at of the site as well as every page of the Live matchbox sector and ball-by-ball commentary service on the site.

The creative features a picture of the car with the headline "Quality Speaks For Itself" and will allow visitors to click through onto a dedicated Toyota Avensis website.

Toyota Avensis signed up as the official automotive partner to the seven English Test Match grounds for this summers Ashes test series against Australia in March.

Paul Wright, managing director of Aura Sports, said the website sponsorship will help build Toyota's association with the event.

"This headline sponsorship agreement ensures that the Toyota Avensis is highly visible to this audience and perfectly leverages the Avensis's association with the event," he said.

Charmaine Oakley, account director of Zed Media, added: "It is important that we put the Avensis brand front of mind with this key target audience."

Although this is the first time Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has sponsored the ECB website it is the second year it has sponsored the English test match grounds, after launching the Avensis in the UK in 2003.
