Audi rolls out interactive music website for Roadster launch

LONDON - Bartle Bogle Hegarty has launched a multi-platform website for the launch of the TT Roadster in March using music as its inspiration for all things Audi.

The website, , includes a range of content across digital platforms including exclusive music tracks, podcasts, online content and music mixing applications.

BBH has commissioned two reworkings of modern classics by emerging musicians and producers in a bid to appeal to Audi drivers.

Russell Ramsey, chief creative director at BBH London, said: "Remastered captures the spirit of the TT in a very engaging way. It allows the viewer/listener to be entertained first and foremost across different channels. They can interact with the music but also the car. Driving and music go hand-in-hand for lots of people."

Tracks on the site include Coco Electrik covering Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love' with more to follow including personal interpretations of tracks by Amp Fiddler, The Motorettes and Lucky Jim. A total of 14 tracks will be uploaded onto the site.

TTRemastered also includes a driving game that players can download for free, a series of exclusive podcasts presented by Radio 1's Jo Whiley and a remixing application called U-myx which allows users to remix sample tracks and upload a unique version.

Low-level online and press advertising will drive consumers to the site while activity later in the campaign will include editorial partnerships with key music titles across press, online, radio and TV.

Music licensing for the site has been handled by music publisher Leap Music, a joint venture between BBH and Leap founder and managing director Richard Kirstein. Leap has recently set up a branded content consultancy site and helps advertising agencies negotiate deals for fast content channels, such as podcasts and websites.
