WPP Group's J Walter Thompson was previously the agency of record on Aston Martin, which is owned by Ford -- one of WPP's biggest clients.
Wensauer & Partner is an agency with a strong background in the motoring industry and has worked on other marques including Porsche, Volkswagen, Hyundai and Lexus at various points in the last 20 years.
The agency beat several international competitors for the work, which will run in all Aston Martin's major markets, including the UK, Europe, the US and the Far East.
A worldwide print campaign is soon to break for the Aston Martin DB7, DB7 GT and the Vanquish, with Wensauer's managing partner, Berthold Dorrich, heading the creative team.
"Aston Martin stands for a unique tradition of top-level automotive engineering. Being asked to work for such a brand on a worldwide basis is a dream come true," Dorrich said.
Aston Martin was founded in 1914 and is best know for producing exclusive sports cars. It has been featured in several of the James Bond films, starting with 'Goldfinger', where Sean Connery drove a DB5 fitted with extras even the most demanding customer might not get, such as an ejector seat.
Most recently, Pierce Brosnan drove a V12 Vanquish in the film 'Die Another Day'.
Wensauer's other clients include Villeroy & Boch, Cap Gemini and Elefanten Shoes.
