Aston Martin launches approved used car online locator

LONDON - For those who have always hankered after a touch of James Bond but could never quite afford the price tag, Aston Martin has launched a new approved used car locator to promote dealer sales of their secondhand cars online.

Aston Martin has appointed Global Beach as its partner on the back of its experience in what is known as dealer web services for automotive manufacturers.

The approved used car will be the cornerstone of Aston Martin's used car programme, which has initially been launched in the UK, with Europe and the US to follow.

Ian Minards, general manager of sales operations at Aston Martin, said: "It was important for us to find a business partner who had an established track record of working with premium automotive brands and could deploy a tailored solution rapidly across our markets."

He added: "Through Global Beach, our dealers will be provided with a complete solution that allows them to promote their stock and enables them to create premium point-of-sale materials on demand. This will become the first place for anyone looking for an approved used Aston Martin."

Aston Martin, which is owned by Ford, is one of the world's most exclusive sports car manufacturers. Created in 1914 it has an enviable and outstanding automotive history and heritage.

The business is currently undergoing its biggest shake-up as it relocates its head office and production department to a purpose-built facility at Gaydon and has just launched the all new Aston Martin DB9, which sits alongside the flagship V12 Vanquish and in 2005 will be joined by the Aston Martin V8 Vantage -- a smaller, tailored sportscar.
