Asda trials Direct offering in-store

LONDON - Asda is trialling a new store format which competes with Tesco Direct and Argos.

Asda trials Direct offering in-store

The store in Keighley, West Yorkshire, has an Asda Direct desk which enables customers to order goods and collect them in-store. If the item is not stocked in-store however, customers will be able to pick it up at a later date.

A spokeswoman for Asda said: ‘It's something we're trialling in a store to see how it works. If successful, we'll look to roll it across more stores.'

Similar to Tesco Direct and Argos, Asda Direct has a range of electrical appliances, clothing, home furniture, toys and baby items. Asda Direct launched in September 2008.
