Asda trials digital signage units

LONDON - Asda is trialling digital signage units at its new store on Keighley, Bradford.

Asda trials digital signage units

The close-proximity units will initially be installed in the stores pharmacy and photography/technology counters, by digital signage company Amscreen. The units will carry product and pricing information in order to inform customers about store activity and deals.

Asda will be utilising Amscreen's bespoke 'plug and play' technology, which allows screen content to be updated remotely and in real time without the need for any extra cabling or IT infrastructure, on site.

Brian Rutherford, head of store design and retail development at Asda, said: 'The technology will allow us to communicate effectively with our customers in a dynamic and interesting way, giving them a better in-store experience via technology that can be deployed without fuss or disruption.'
