The Arla products will be created with particular emphasis on the cheese sector, an area in which sales of its existing Anchor Cheddar and Apetina brands have dropped.
The Swedish-Danish co-operative may also launch a new milk product. It already owns the UK's biggest milk brand, Cravendale.
However, it is unlikely to introduce an additional butter or spread brand as it owns the top and number three UK brands in this category, Lurpak and Anchor.
Arla's UK managing director, Simon Stevens, said its existing brands would not change. 'We wouldn't just call the existing brands "Arla Anchor" and "Arla Cravendale'.''
Arla is now searching for an agency network to introduce the Arla-branded products and create an overarching strategy for the Arla corporate brand.
Agencies are pitching to work across six key European markets, including the UK.
Arla's launch plans echo those of other multinational companies that have begun playing more heavily on their parent name in the UK. These include Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser and insurer Aviva. At present in the UK, Arla's logo appears only on feta cheese brand Apetina.
