Argos launches £10,000 catalogue competition

LONDON - Argos has tied up with brands including Little Chef, Holiday Inn and National Express as part of a competition to support the launch of its latest catalogue.

The retailer is offering the chance to win £10,000 in Argos vouchers if they answer a question inside the catalogue. No purchase is necessary to enter and the campaign runs until August 11.

All winners will receive a ‘leisure pass’ entitling them to a variety of deals with Little Chef, National Express, Holiday Inn and Hollywood Bowl.

Despite being launched in the 70s, Argos’ retail catalogue format has become increasingly popular in recent years. Most notably Tesco and Woolworths have copied it, while Asda is also believed to be looking at using the model.
 
Recently Argos used the Isle of Wight music festival to trial a mobile store format. Items included camping equipment and barbeques alongside as binoculars and camera memory cards.
