
The festival store will operate out of a 60ft trailer and carry 60 lines focussed on the needs of festival go-ers. Items will include camping equipment and barbeques alongside things such as binoculars, camera memory cards and fancy dress outfits.
Argos operations director John Douglas said: 'The festival store is an exciting new idea for the business and we will be following its performance closely with a view to using the concept at other events'.
Yesterday, the retailer, which is part of the Home Retail Group, announced that in the 13 weeks to 30 May, like-for-like sales dropped 2.8% and total sales increase 0.9% increase, compared to the year earlier period.
