The deal with Warner Music was struck after Apple agreed to pay Warner Music’s songwriters 10% of advertising revenues made from iRadio, according to The Financial Times.

Apple’s partnership with Warner Music and the deal it struck with Universal Music last month suggests the iPlayer service could be launched at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference on 10 June if negotiations with Sony Music prove successful.

It is understood the iRadio streaming service will also allow users to purchase songs from the iTunes download store and will use software to predict what tracks listeners will want to listen to based on people’s iTunes library.

Last month Google stole a march on Apple’s much anticipated streaming service by .

Google’s service will be subscription only and will cost $9.99 a month when it launches on mobile and tablet devices in the US.

It will also launch in the UK and other countries at a later date and will allow users to tailor music from 22 different genres or listen to a radio-like stream.
