Apple iTunes rated highly in brand survey

Apple's iTunes is the biggest mover in Revolution's exclusive annual survey of the best thought-of digital brands in the UK, conducted by GfK NOP.

The music download service, which Apple boss Steve Jobs last month announced would be boosted by film and video downloads following the launch of video iPods, jumped 24 places on last year's ranking to 11th.

Amazon came top for the third year running, while eBay overtook Google for the first time, to second place. The study uses GfK NOP's e-Omnibus survey to gauge perceptions of digital brands using six criteria: innovation; recognition, customer care, value, reliability and longevity.
