AOL Time Warner axes 30 marketing jobs

LONDON - AOL Time Warner has laid off about 30 staff in its interactive marketing division, according to reports.

A report in the Washington Post said that the cuts affected staff in the business development group in America Online's interactive marketing department.

The 30 redundancies represent about 3% of the workforce in the division.

AOL Time Warner is due to announce its second-quarter results on July 18, when the group will also reveal its subscriber numbers. Analysts estimate that the subscriber base grew by about 13.3m customers to 30m in the second quarter.
