Gibb joined Ocean Media in early 2010 and headed up the company’s leisure exhibitions, including the Boat and Caravan Show.
In his new role he will report to Melville chief executive officer Nick Marshall, who said that Gibb’s appointment reflected "the growth of the business and the broadening of our senior management resource".
Gibb will be based at Melville’s head office in Coventry and will manage key clients and revenue lines including logistics and graphics.
