The appointment will see Melville service some of the UK's leading trade shows including BETT, Spring Fair, Naidex and Pure.
Melville's new approach to exhibitor service, Melville Prism, is said to have been a major factor in the decision.
"We've listened to feedback over the past year and this deal is a response to comments on the costs of exhibiting and the need to see return on investment," said Emap Connect CEO Malcolm Gough.
"We believe in Melville. We have a partner who will work with us to reduce exhibitor cost, improve returns and help us grow our events year on year."
Melville's CEO Nick Marshall commented: "This is good news for all Melville's customers. With the backing of GES and the order visibility the Emap deal affords us, we will continue to invest in exhibitor focussed services with the goal of helping to improve exhibitor retention rates year on year."
