The £2.5m contract at the venue near Stratford-Upon-Avon will include a 100-cover restaurant for a la carte dining, and a café offering visitors a more informal option. During the warmer months there will also be a mobile facility and pop-up units in the grounds selling ice-cream and drinks.
Ampersand will also be in charge of providing catering for hire events at Compton Verney such as private parties and product launches.
The art gallery, housed in a Grade I-listed Georgian mansion, will be marking its ten-year anniversary with a series of events throughout 2014, including a sculpture exhibition, Moore Rodin, comprising works both in the grounds and inside the gallery by Auguste Rodin and Henry Moore.
Rachel Davies, deputy director at Compton Verney, said: "Ampersand demonstrated great understanding of our business and how its catering services will play an integral role in enhancing our visitors’ experience.
"We have a remarkable year ahead with great events and exhibitions, so we are thrilled to have found a caterer who shares our enthusiasm for the future."
Paul Jackson, managing director at Ampersand, added: "We are honoured to serve such a beautiful art gallery in such a lovely setting with exciting site development plans. This appointment demonstrates our brand’s growing strength outside London."
