What is it?
Alexandra Palace’s Ice Rink is a new, international-sized, indoor ice rink with an adjoining event space, bar and café housed in the iconic North London venue. The ice rink is situated in the Victorian East Hall and has been at Alexandra Palace since 1990. It recently underwent a £2.3 million refurbishment.
What’s it got?
The refurbishment replaced all the ice, the chiller plant system and a low-emissivity ceiling was installed to make the facility more efficient and environmentally friendly. The entrance hall and changing rooms were also refurbished.
Guests enter the ice rink through the east entrance which can also be utilised an as event space holding up to 1,100 people standing.
The Ice Rink can comfortably hold 350 people per skating session and has spectator seating for 750. The ice café and bar are located over looking the rink and have capacity for 300 guests seated.
