Airbnb creates films in-house to honor its best hosts

From saving a village to a backyard wedding, these individuals go above and beyond

The sharing economy often gets a bad rep. But Airbnb looks to uplift its hosts by applauding their ingenuity in two new films. Created in-house, the minute-long spots tell the stories of Megumi and Stephen. In "Hosting the World," Megumi introduces her daughter to a whole new family--an international one. In "The Backyard Wedding," Stephen not only hosts a newlywed couple, but their wedding, with a week's notice. At a time when Airbnb is in conflict with many cities, these spots remind consumers that on which we can all agree: community.
