Affilinet buys French performance marketing firm

LONDON - Affilinet, headed by former Commission Junction managing director Nicky Iapino, has acquired 75% of CibleClick Performances, a French performance-based online marketing company.

Affilinet, which launched in the UK this year, said that CibleClick founders Frederic Valette and Olivier Mouillet will stay on as shareholders and continue to manage CibleClick in France.

Marc Stilke, managing director of Affilinet and chief operating officer of AdLINK Internet Media, said: "This acquisition is a substantial step towards our goal to build a top-three affiliate network in Europe."

Frederic Valette, founder of CibleClick, said: "CibleClick will undoubtedly benefit from the existing European presence of Affilinet and, together with its new partner, will build a fast-growing affiliate marketing platform in Europe."

The acquisition was in cash and supported by AdLINK's parent company United Internet AG.
