Advertising Association appoints Tim Lefroy chief executive

LONDON - The Advertising Association has appointed Tim Lefroy, a former Cadbury and Gillette marketer, as its new chief executive.

Lefroy replaces Baroness Peta Buscombe who joins the Press Complaints Commission in April.

He will be stepping down from his role as chief executive of the change management consultancy Radical Communications to take up the position on 5 May.

Lefroy worked in marketing management at Cadbury and Gillette before moving over to the agency side and progressing to be chief executive of Young & Rubicam in the UK. His consulting work at Radical ranged from turnaround to privatisation with clients from Channel 4 to GSK and the Ministry of Defence. He also an independent director of ATVOD (Association for Television on Demand) and a member of the Pensions Reform Group.
