Previously, Connolly led the commercial development team at Yahoo, focusing on educating potential and existing clients about the Yahoo network offering.
In his new role, Connolly will work across new business development at Adconion and assumes responsibility for the commercial side of the business. His appointment brings Adconion UK into line with its operations in France and Germany, which already have commercial directors.
Adconion's headcount has grown from 20 people at the beginning of the year, to the current figure of 40.
Connolly joined Yahoo in October 2006 as head of commercial development. Before that, he was at IDS, the broadcast sales house for Virgin Media, where he was controller of interactive sales.
