AdBrite announces pay-per-click for display ads

LONDON - Online advertisers can now choose to use pay-per-click display ads as an alternative to the traditional cost-per-impression pricing with AdBrite's new auction system.

AdBrite is offering its network of 85,000 advertisers the facility to pay for display ads in the same way they pay for search placements and text ads -- paying only when their ad is clicked.

A spokesman for AdBrite, said: "When direct-response advertisers pay per impression, they assume the full risk of impressions that may never convert into clicks or sales.

"In AdBrite's CPC banner auction, display advertisers pay only for clicks. This lowers advertiser risk while increasing performance."
