The Red Dwarf crew are back to promote the AA's breakdown service portfolio.
Following July's "Stellar rescue" spot, the ad begins as Lister and the gang find themselves broken down in Starbug once more. However, things take a turn thanks to AA's Smart Breakdown service, which identifies the issue as a flat battery.
After inspection, it is revealed the "heavy duty" battery loss was caused by Cat’s homemade hair salon, prompting the best line in modern television: "Don’t just stand there looking ugly, go get me a coffee!"
The campaign will include out of home, cinema, video on demand and radio activity, as well as a cover wrap in the Metro. It was written by Alex Lucas and Jonathan John, art directed by Jon Farley and David Mackersey, and directed by Declan Lowney through Another Film Company. Media is handled by Goodstuff.
