Fort William and Lochaber won the right to call the area the Outdoor Capital of the UK after beating off strong competition from across the country.
The aim of the logo design has been to establish the area as the UK's foremost destination for outdoor pursuits and adventure in a location where 65% of activity in the area comes from tourism.
Joe Hall, creative director of 999 Design, said: "The claim to be outdoor capital of the UK is fully justified by Lochaber.
"Loch Morar is the deepest loch in Britain, Ben Nevis is the highest mountain and activities range from skiing, mountaineering and white-water sports to mountain biking and diving."
Around 拢337,000 has been secured from the European Structural Fund, The Highland Council, Lochaber Enterprise and local businesses to help the Outdoor Capital of the UK realise its potential over the next two years.
